The Town of Stanton is seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join our Public Works team as a Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Worker. This position plays a key role in maintaining the Town’s public spaces and ensuring a clean, safe, and well-kept community as Stanton continues to grow.

 

This position performs entry-level and semi-skilled manual labor, including mowing, trimming, litter removal, and general upkeep of parks, streets, rights-of-way, and Town-owned facilities. Additional responsibilities include assisting with roadway and drainage work, supporting community events, and responding to seasonal and storm-related operations. Work is performed primarily outdoors and requires the use of basic equipment and hand tools.

 

As part of a small, hands-on team, this role requires reliability, flexibility, and a willingness to assist where needed to support daily operations.

 

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred), a valid Tennessee driver’s license, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in an outdoor environment. Prior experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, construction, or general labor is preferred but not required.

The Town of Stanton is seeking a results-driven and forward-thinking professional to serve as Economic Development Specialist. This position is responsible for establishing and advancing the Town’s economic development efforts during a period of significant growth and opportunity.

 

This position leads the implementation of Stanton’s economic development strategy, including business and industry recruitment, site marketing, development coordination, and grant support. Responsibilities include engaging directly with developers and prospective businesses, promoting available sites and infrastructure, coordinating projects from initial interest through development, and working with regional and state partners to secure investment and support growth initiatives. The role works closely with Town leadership to ensure that development is strategic, well-managed, and aligned with the community’s long-term vision.

 

This is a hands-on, execution-focused position designed to deliver measurable results—attracting new development, supporting existing opportunities, and positioning Stanton for sustained economic success.

 

Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in economic development, planning, public administration, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience), along with strong communication, organizational, and project management skills. Experience in economic development, planning, real estate, or a related field is preferred.
