The Planning & Development Department ensures that Stanton grows in a way that’s smart, sustainable, and aligned with community values. We support residents, builders, and developers by managing zoning, land use, and infrastructure planning — all while preparing for the opportunities created by BlueOval City and our expanding population.

Our Responsibilities Include:

  • Reviewing Development Proposals 

We examine rezoning requests, site plans, and subdivision plats to ensure compliance with the Town’s Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations.

  • Advising on Land Use Policy

We make recommendations to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen on zoning amendments and long-term community planning initiatives.

  • Ensuring Public Participation

We hold public hearings, giving residents the opportunity to provide input on proposed developments and policy changes.

  • Promoting Sustainable Growth

We strive to balance economic growth with environmental stewardship, infrastructure capacity, and quality of life.

  • Overseeing Subdivision Regulations

We adopt and enforce regulations that ensure safe, functional, and well-designed neighborhoods.
